1953
Fred Bucci Sr. sells a manufactured home from his car lot. Intrigued, he takes a chance and secures the rights to a mobile home line. Fred Bucci Sr. incorporates Midwest Trailer Sales Edmonton – Later to become Bucci Corporation - and starts his expansion across Western Canada.
1953-1969
Fred Bucci Sr. goes onto develop Midwest into an integrated manufacturing and multi-brand manufactured home sales business. Integral to this work was the development of land for mobile home parks.
1970
Fred Bucci Sr. establishes Cedar Grove Thoroughbreds, a racehorse breeding enterprise. By 1973, he’s spending the majority of his time on this business.
1972-1982
Fred Bucci works with Fred Bucci Sr. managing multiple offices across Western Canada within Midwest Trailer.
1982-1984
Fred Bucci joins Qualico where he gains valuable experience in land assembly and multi-family development. After a 2 period year he rejoins the family company, renaming it Bucci Investment, then acquiring the South Gate Shopping Centre and Valley Fair Mall.
1985
Fred Bucci forms Bucci Developments and invites Greg Nelson to join the company as Development Manager.
1986-1990
South Port, Bucci Developments’ first multi-family residential project is completed and delivered in Vancouver (1986). Bucci goes on to develop a number of other projects in the Vancouver area.
1990-1992
Recognizing his skill and experience in property development, the Urban Development Institute of Canada names Fred Bucci its new Pacific Region President.
1993-1998
Development in BC continues to grow as multi-family projects Creekside at Clayton Hills, Hunter’s Run, Hunter’s Glen, Riverside Terrace, and Westport are established.
1999-2004
Bucci Developments Limited diversifies geographically and enters into Calgary multi-family market with Bonavista Estates, a 310 home – 6 building project in Calgary's SE. Bonavista Estates was followed up by projects in Garrison Woods and 2 projects in Bridgeland.
2005
Fred Bucci’s son Mike Bucci joins the family business. Mike serves alongside Senior VP Greg Nelson as the VP of Development.
2006-2014
Bucci wins Calgary Multi-family builder of the Year in 2008 and 2011. Lumen (2010), built in Kitsilano, Vancouver, is one of the first Built Green pilot projects in the City. Bucci spearheads continued development in Calgary with Xenex on 12th (2009), NEXT (2013), Tribeca (2014), VEN (2015), Kensington (2014 launch).
2015
With Calgary projects VEN completed and construction underway on Kensington, Bucci Developments launches its largest multi-family residence to date - Radius in Bridgeland.
